“Invitation not found” or “personal”: what to do

When you tap an invitation link, Tov can show several pages that are not the invitation itself. Each has a specific cause, and almost always a simple fix.

1“Cette invitation est introuvable.”

This page is always written in French, whatever language your invitation is in. It appears when the invitation is not accessible:

• The organizer has not published it yet, or has put it back to a private draft.
• The organizer has not entered a real date yet: until there is one, the invitation stays invisible.
• The link was copied incorrectly or cut off (a letter is missing, or part of it was chopped).

What to do: copy the link in full, exactly as you received it; if it still does not work, ask the organizer to check that the invitation is published and to send you your link again.

2“This invitation is personal — ask the family for your link.”

You opened the invitation’s general address, without your personal link, and all of its moments are reserved for invited households. Tov then shows only the title and the date, with no form. Ask the family for your personal link: it is the one that opens your invitation.

3A “This page doesn’t exist” page

This is the site’s general error page. It appears, for example, when a readable link (a name followed by a code) was copied incorrectly. The link is probably old or incomplete: ask for it again.

4The event has ended, or the celebration is over

• An archived event shows that the event has ended, with a link to relive it; replying is no longer possible.
• A past event that is not archived replaces the form with a thank-you note and a link to the event’s memory page.

5If you are the organizer

• Is the invitation published? (see the guide on publishing).
• Are a real date and time filled in?
• Did you send the household’s complete personal link, not just the general address?
• Are all the moments set to “By invitation”? In that case, the general address shows only the “personal” page.
• Is the event not archived?
