Changing your reply, or replying for a relative without a smartphone
You said “yes” and things changed? Reopen your personal link and fix it. And how to reply for a relative with no smartphone, as a guest or as the organizer.

Changing your reply
Something came up, or one more guest is coming? Reopen the personal link you received: the form is pre-filled with your previous reply. Fix whatever needs fixing and send it again. Your new reply replaces the previous one, and the organizer sees it right away.
Tov reminds you on the thank-you screen: “You can change your answer anytime via this same link.” At the top of the form, a banner shows which household you are replying for and the date of your last reply.
This is not your household? Tap “Not you?”: the personal link is removed and the page opens as it would for someone who only has the general address.
This requires your personal link. With the invitation’s general address, Tov does not recognize your household and pre-fills nothing: ask the organizer for your link.
Until when?
As long as the event has not taken place. Once it has passed, the form is replaced by a thank-you note; if the organizer has archived the event, it is shown as ended. If the event has a limited number of places and it has been reached, your reply may go onto a waiting list.
Replying for a relative without a smartphone
Step 1
Use their link, on your phone
A household’s personal link is not tied to a device: it opens in any browser. Ask the organizer, or the person who received it, for the link, open it on your phone, and reply together with your relative, for their household.
Step 2
Or ask the organizer to pass it on another way
For a household with no phone or no WhatsApp number, the organizer can copy its personal link (“Copy their link”) and get it to them by whatever means they choose.
If you are the organizer
In “Follow up”, open a household’s reply and tap “Edit”: you can correct the name, the number of people, the reply, the phone number, the email, the diet, the allergies and the message. When the reply is broken down by ceremony, headcounts are corrected from the household’s personal link.
Tov does not let you enter a first reply on a household’s behalf: a reply has to exist already, given from their link. That is why, for a relative without a smartphone, the simplest way is to reply together with them from their link.
Good to know: a forwarded link replies in the name of the original household, and the previous reply is kept in an archive each time a new one comes in. If the name entered does not look like the household’s, a “name changed” marker flags it for you.
