Choosing a design and colors

Tov offers invitation designs played for real, with your names in them. How to compare them, change the colors, adjust the symbols and switch designs later.

A design is a whole invitation world: a setting, a way of opening, music, colors. Tov offers 16, all animated, and shows for each celebration only the ones that suit it. You see them with your own names in them before you choose.

Comparing them

On the second screen of the creation flow (“The design”), as well as at the “Your invitation” step of “Prepare”, each design plays for real inside a phone frame. Tap the invitation to open it and try it out. You can even answer it to test, and nothing is sent.

  • Styles group the designs: “Elegant”, “Joyful”, “Passions” and “Photos”. Only the styles that have a design for your celebration are shown.
  • The color dots change the colors of the design. Each design has its own.
  • “Keep” keeps a design: your favorites move to the top of the overview.
  • “Overview” shows all the designs of the chosen style at once.
Tip

“Show the family” opens WhatsApp with a link to this design, with your names in it, so you can ask your loved ones what they think. Only the names leave your device in this link: never the date, the place or the program.

Symbols

Several designs draw symbols of the celebration (the chuppah and wedding rings for a wedding, tefillin and the Magen David for a bar mitzvah…). They are on by default. In the design settings, at the “Your invitation” step, uncheck them for a version without religious symbols.

Changing design later

You can change design at any time, even after the invitation is published: your guests then see the new design as soon as they open their link. Read it over before you publish. If your invitation uses a design that is no longer offered, Tov asks you to confirm the change: you will not be able to go back to it.

If you change the type of celebration (for example from a birthday to a wedding) and the design does not suit the new celebration, it is removed: choose another one.

What your guests see

Each design has its own opening gesture (touching a seal, turning a page…). With “reduce motion” turned on, the invitation is already open. Music is on by default: it only starts after a gesture from the guest, and a button lets them turn it off.
