Day-of check-in

4 min read Updated on 2026-03-23

On the day of the event, use check-in to know who has arrived and how many people are present.

What is check-in?

Check-in lets you mark each guest's arrival on the day of your event. It is like a digital attendance list you use directly from your phone.

Check-in provides you with:

  • A real-time counter of people who have arrived compared to the total confirmations.
  • A quick search by name to find a guest in seconds.
  • An adjustment of companion count if the guest arrives with more or fewer people than expected.

The Arrivals tab automatically appears in your event navigation when the date approaches (about 7 days before). It is designed to be used standing up, on a phone, in the hustle of an event.

Using check-in

Using check-in is very simple and designed to be fast, even in the hustle of an event:

  • Open the Arrivals tab in your event navigation.
  • Type the first letters of the guest's name in the search bar at the top of the page.
  • Tap the guest's name to mark them as arrived.
  • A visual confirmation (toast) appears at the top of the screen to confirm the check-in.
  • The search bar clears automatically so you can check in the next guest immediately.

You can also scroll through the full list without using search. Guests already checked in are visually distinguished from the others.

Adjust the number of people

It often happens that a guest arrives with more or fewer companions than expected. Check-in lets you adjust the actual number of people present for each guest.

Here is how:

  • Next to each checked-in guest's name, you see + and minus buttons (stepper).
  • Press + to add a person or minus to remove one.
  • The total number of people present updates instantly at the top of the page.

For example, if David confirmed for 3 people but arrives with 4, press + once to adjust. It is quick and does not require opening a form.

Arrival statistics

At the top of the Arrivals page, a statistics panel gives you an instant overview of arrival status at your event.

The information displayed includes:

  • Arrivals counter — for example "45 / 120 arrived", showing how many people are present out of the total confirmations.
  • Progress bar — a visual indicator that fills up as guests arrive.
  • Real-time updates — the numbers recalculate instantly with each check-in or counter adjustment.

These statistics are especially useful for knowing when to start the ceremony or the meal, based on your guests' arrival rate.
