Gift tracking

Gift tracking is disabled by default to keep the interface simple. To enable it:

• Go to Settings for your event.
• Open the Organization > Features section.
• Turn on the Gifts toggle.

Once enabled, a new Gifts tab appears in your event navigation. You can record each gift received, track totals and thank your guests. The Gifts tab also appears in each guest's detail view.

You can add a gift in two ways, depending on what is most convenient for you:

• From the Gifts page — click the Add a gift button at the top of the page. Select the guest from the dropdown, then enter the amount and currency.
• From a guest's profile — open a guest's profile (click their name), then go to the Gifts tab in the side panel. Click Add — the guest is pre-selected.

For each gift, enter the amount, the currency and optionally a description (for example: "envelope", "bank transfer", "check", "cash"). The description will help you remember the context later.

Tov.events automatically handles multiple currencies for international families. Each gift is recorded in its original currency, and totals are converted automatically.

Supported currencies include:

• Israeli Shekel (ILS), Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD) and many more.
• Exchange rates are updated daily for reliable conversion.
• Your event's main currency is configurable in Settings > Organization.

On the Gifts page, you see totals by currency and the converted total in your main currency. This is especially useful for events where guests give in different currencies (family in France in euros, family in Israel in shekels, etc.).

Thanking your guests for their gifts is easy with the Thank button built into each gift. Here is how it works:

• On the Gifts page, click the Thank button next to the relevant gift.
• A window opens with a pre-written thank-you message, personalized with the guest's name.
• Edit the message if you wish, then click to open WhatsApp with the message ready to send.
• Once sent, the gift is marked as "thanked" so you don't lose track.

The thank-you template adapts to the guest's language and can be customized. You can also save your personalized message for reuse.

The Gifts page gives you a complete financial overview of all gifts received for your event.

The information displayed includes:

• Totals by currency — the total amount received in each currency (euros, shekels, dollars, etc.).
• Converted total — the overall amount converted to your main currency for a unified view.
• Thank-you status — for each gift, you know whether the guest has been thanked or not.

Click Export as CSV to download the complete list in a format compatible with Excel and Google Sheets. The export includes the guest name, amount, currency, description and thank-you status. Handy for keeping a record or sharing the list with your spouse.
