Guest FAQ

Find answers to the most frequently asked questions from guests who receive a Tov.events invitation.

How do I respond to an invitation?

Responding to a Tov.events invitation is very simple and takes just a few seconds:

  • Open the link you received (via WhatsApp, SMS or email).
  • Browse the invitation to discover all the event details.
  • Fill out the form at the bottom of the page: indicate your attendance, the number of people and leave a message if you wish.
  • Click "Send" to submit your response.

No account is needed to respond. Your response is transmitted instantly to the organizer. You'll see a confirmation on screen once your response is recorded.

Can I change my response after confirming?

Yes, absolutely! You can change your response at any time by going back to the invitation link. Possible changes include:

  • Switch from "confirmed" to "declined" or vice versa.
  • Change the number of plus-ones.
  • Update your personal message.

Simply go back to the invitation link (find it in your WhatsApp conversation or messages). The form will let you update your previous response. The organizer will be automatically notified of the change.

Can I bring plus-ones?

That depends on the organizer and the event settings. In most cases, the response form lets you indicate the number of people who will accompany you.

When you confirm your attendance, a field asks "How many people?". Enter the total number (yourself included). For example, if you're coming with your partner, enter "2".

If you're unsure about the allowed number of plus-ones, contact the organizer directly. Some events may have capacity or budget constraints that limit additional guests. Please respect the organizer's wishes regarding plus-ones.

How do I contact the organizer?

You have several options to contact the event organizer:

  • Via the RSVP message — when you respond to the invitation, you can leave a message that will be sent directly to the organizer.
  • Via WhatsApp — if you received the invitation via WhatsApp, you can reply directly in the conversation.
  • Contact information — some organizers display their contact details on the invitation (if the "Show organizer" option is enabled).

If you have an urgent question (food allergies, special access needs, transportation schedules), don't hesitate to contact the organizer as early as possible to give them time to make arrangements.

Do I need an account to respond?

No, no account is needed! To respond to a Tov.events invitation, you simply open the link and fill out the response form. It's as simple as that.

The Tov.events platform has been designed so that guests can respond as easily as possible, without any technical barriers. No sign-up, no password, no app to download.

The only case where an account is needed is if you want to create your own events and send your own invitations. As a guest responding, everything is freely and immediately accessible.

The invitation link doesn't work, what should I do?

If the invitation link isn't working, here are some solutions to try:

  • Check your internet connection — make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  • Copy and paste the link — instead of clicking, try copying the link and pasting it directly into your browser's address bar (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
  • Try a different browser — if the link doesn't open in the WhatsApp app, open it in your regular browser.
  • Check the full link — make sure the link wasn't cut off or truncated during transmission.

If the problem persists, contact the organizer and ask them to resend the link. The event may have been deleted or the link may have been changed. The organizer can provide you with an updated link.

Can I see who else is invited?

No, the guest list is confidential. To protect everyone's privacy, Tov.events does not allow guests to see who else is invited to the event.

Only the event organizer has access to the full guest list, their responses and contact information. This is an important privacy measure.

If you'd like to know who will be attending, you can ask the organizer directly. They decide what information to share with their guests.

How is my personal data protected?

Tov.events takes data protection very seriously. Here's how your information is protected:

  • Minimal data — we only collect the strictly necessary information (your name, response and any message).
  • Encryption — all data is transmitted via a secure HTTPS (SSL/TLS) connection.
  • No sharing — your data is never sold, shared or disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes.
